Without Gandhi, the Indians would have tried to use violence to protest the salt tax given to them by the British. With the resources they had, they most likely would have lost that battle. In his Justice Ignited (Rowman & Littlefield, 2006), Brian Martin credits Miller’s reports of the Salt March as being instrumental in changing public opinion in favor of Gandhi.
